Computer and office furniture online

Both offices and office furniture (Büromöbel) has changed throughout the years, over the last 20 in particular we have noticed a big change to the way in which we work. In the early 1980’s secretaries would generally work on a typewriter and the office in general would mainly work on a paper work basis.
Meaning that the filing system was all done manually and there was a paper trail of carbon copies so we could source the information we had previously saved. Computers and technology have revolutionised the way in which we work today, and this is not just through one sector, it is across the board.

Since computers were introduced, there has been a massive change in the way we work today, for instance, all records on patients in hospitals are kept on a database, so we can easily check out their addresses, date of birth and procedures they have had over the years. Police forces have also reaped the rewards from computers, we are now able to easily track whether someone has been brought in for questioning previously and their previous convictions. It has also meant that police can track a suspects address and last known whereabouts easily from a computer.

Many companies have now changed the look of the office which we work in, meaning that there is no permanent desk for an employee, we are asked to hot desk more (meaning that we can move from work station to work station).

Type writers are a tool of the past and everything is now done via the computer. Even sending mail, much of this is now done also through the use of the computer. To check out just how fast things have moved over the latter 20 years check out the internet.
